In the article
“TV Star’s Plastic-Surgery Disaster Tests Brazil” published in Time Magazine, the authors
whom are anonymous explain how plastic surgery isn’t always as good as it’s
advertised. Urach a Brazilian women
explains what she has had to deal with after getting plastic surgery. One of her later procedures she had done was
messed up by the doctor. She went into
septic shock and was placed on life support for a while. She came out to the public and said that she
regrets having the procedure done. “Urach
told rade TV that she blamed society, which unfortunately holds a standard of
beauty in which you have to be perfect.”
Doctors on the other hand truly do believe that if the procedure was
done correctly which is more likely, the women improve their self- esteem. They also said, with the growing buyers from
the middle class, the more likely you will move up in society’s ranking.
This article
brought to my attention that plastic surgery isn’t always the best thing to do
with your money. There can be many
problems. You can have your surgery done
incorrectly causing you to have life threatening situations. If that happened to somebody I know or me I
would probably hate myself for doing that.
Having plastic surgery is a huge choice people have to make for
themselves. I wonder how many people
actually have had it done In Brazil compare to the U.S. The reason why I say this is because I don’t
even know anyone in the United States that has had the procedure.
I totally agree with you about plastic surgery not being the best thing to do with our money. I don't know why people would spend their money on plastic surgery just because they want to look more beautiful. I believe everyone is unique in his or her own way and i think that anyone undergoing plastic surgery should know about the problems and side effects it causes before embarking on getting one, so that he or she will not live a life full of regrets.
